
I love chicken fried steak. I used to make this a lot growing up on the farm. I remember walking into my grandma's house and seeing her frying steak in her iron skillet. I loved the smell her kitchen and taste of her steak. She always used their home grown beef too. I loved having lunch with her and pop and sitting at their kitchen table. My mom was the one who taught me how to make the delicious white gravy that goes over the top. I switched up my recipe from my grandma's chicken fried steak and my mom's gravy to make it healthier and less inflammatory since then but it still has the same great taste and smell and I kept the great memories.
